The Standard Chartered Foundation has awarded a total of US$50,000, approximately Shs185 million, to five women-led startups in Uganda. The funding was distributed through the foundation’s Women in Tech programme, with each business receiving US$10,000.
The initiative aims to provide catalytic funding to support the growth and development of technology and tech-enabled enterprises led by women. The grant is intended to assist these businesses as they enter the next phase of their operational expansion.
