A 24-year-old man named Jahmaal Phillips from Laventille endured a terrifying incident in broad daylight. The attack occurred around 1:30 PM when Phillips was socializing with a man known as Mikiyah Melville behind Five Islands. Phillips expressed his intention to leave, but as they walked toward his vehicle, Melville allegedly pulled out a knife-like object and stabbed Phillips in the back of the neck. In a panic, Phillips ran towards the roadway seeking help, while Melville attempted to run him over in his silver Nissan AD Wagon. Fortunately, a passerby intervened and helped Phillips reach the Carenage Police Station. Officers promptly transported him to the Carenage Health Centre, and he was later transferred to the Port of Spain General Hospital, where he is currently in stable condition.
