Spanish authorities have seized more than 10 tons of cocaine discovered in two industrial warehouses in the city of Águilas. The operation has placed an Albanian criminal organization at the center of the investigation. According to Spanish media reports, the warehouses were allegedly used as hubs for the storage and distribution of narcotics intended for Spain and other European countries. Investigators noted that the boxes containing the cocaine were marked with specific delivery addresses, a detail expected to assist authorities in mapping the distribution network and identifying the individuals behind the trafficking operation. The discovery occurred in the El Labradorcico industrial zone after a pallet loaded with cocaine fell during an unloading process. The impact damaged part of the shipment, spilling packages of the drug onto the warehouse floor. Workers present at the scene reportedly fled immediately, abandoning their equipment. Local police arrived at the site after receiving a report of a potential workplace accident, but they found the facility empty. Upon inspecting the premises, officers discovered the initial cache of over 5 tons of cocaine. Subsequent investigations led authorities to a second warehouse, bringing the total amount of seized narcotics to more than 10 tons.
