Six of Eight Venezuelan Escapees Recaptured; Two Still at Large as Search Continues

Six of the eight Venezuelan nationals who escaped from the Immigration Detention Centre in Aripo have been recaptured by law enforcement authorities following an extensive search operation. The men were among a group of detainees who escaped after allegedly breaching the facility.

Police, Immigration officers, and other security agencies launched coordinated operations across several areas in an effort to locate and apprehend the escapees. Authorities have confirmed that six of the eight escapees are now back in custody. The search continues for the remaining two individuals, and law enforcement officials are urging members of the public to report any information that could assist in locating them.

Officials have thanked the public for their cooperation, noting that information provided by citizens has been instrumental in the recapture efforts. Investigations are ongoing into both the circumstances surrounding the escape and whether the detainees received outside assistance.

Police are encouraging anyone with information on the whereabouts of the two remaining escapees to contact 999, 555, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers. The coordinated response highlights the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration and community vigilance in addressing security breaches.
