In a major development in the case of Municipal Police Officer Anuska Renee Eversley-Gonzales’s murder, Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has detained six individuals. Among those apprehended are two Municipal Police Officers, two women, and two men, all connected to the tragic incident at the Kings Wharf compound in San Fernando.

The TTPS has reported a significant recovery of stolen firearms and ammunition as a result of the operation. Authorities recovered 10 M&P pistols, 10 Glock 19 pistols, a Browning pistol, a Smith & Wesson pistol, and 612 rounds of 9mm ammunition. These seizures mark a critical step in the ongoing investigation, which has been intensified by the collaboration of various police units.

Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro was actively involved in the early morning operations that led to these arrests and the recovery of weapons. The investigation has been characterized as sensitive, with police committing to thorough efforts to ensure that those responsible for the officer’s murder are brought to justice.

As the investigation unfolds, the TTPS has reassured the public of their dedication to transparency and will provide updates as more information becomes available. The situation remains dynamic, with further developments expected as police continue their inquiries.
