Siparia Mayor Urges Police Action Over Roaming Cattle in Fyzabad

In a critical appeal to law enforcement, Siparia Mayor Doodnath Mayhoo has raised the alarm over the disruption caused by approximately 40 cattle roaming freely in Fyzabad. The mayor has called on the police to intervene as residents of the area have increasingly faced safety hazards and property damage due to the wandering livestock.

Local residents have expressed significant concerns over the presence of these cattle, which have been reported to obstruct roads and invade private properties, posing both a public safety risk and an inconvenience. The situation has become untenable, prompting Mayor Mayhoo to seek assistance from the police to manage the issue effectively.

The Siparia Borough Corporation, despite being aware of the problem, has admitted to its lack of enforcement power when it comes to livestock issues. This limitation has been a key challenge, as the corporation cannot independently address or mitigate the problems caused by the animals. This predicament has spurred the mayor to seek alternative solutions via law enforcement agencies, urging them to prioritize this community safety concern.

In previous attempts to control the roaming cattle, residents have reported instances of property damage, including broken fences and trampled gardens, which have compounded their frustrations. The ongoing situation threatens the well-being and property of the people in Fyzabad, making it a pressing community issue.

The call for police intervention highlights a gap in local governance capabilities regarding livestock management. It underscores a broader need for policy review to empower local authorities in dealing with similar challenges, ensuring they have the necessary tools and authority to protect community interests effectively.
