Siemens Energy has initiated preparations to assume responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the 300-megawatt combined-cycle power plant currently under construction in Wales, Guyana. The facility is a central component of Phase One of the nation’s Gas-to-Energy Project.
Representatives from Siemens Energy met with Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips at his office on Friday to discuss the logistics and preparations required for the plant’s upcoming start-up.
