The Shipping Association of Guyana (SAG) has initiated formal discussions with the government to enhance port efficiency and streamline cargo movement. These talks come as Guyana’s rapidly expanding economy drives a significant increase in commercial activity and import volumes.
SAG Chairman Dr. Komal Singh stated that the objective of these consultations is to ensure the nation’s shipping and logistics infrastructure can effectively manage the rising demand. The association aims to implement improvements that will allow the sector to keep pace with the country’s broader economic growth.
