Shell, Trinidad Gov’t Strengthen Ties for Economic Resilience

On 26th August 2025, Shell Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior Vice President, Adam Lowmass, and Corporation Relations Head, Candice Clarke Salloum, met with Trinidad’s Minister of Public Utilities, Hon. Barry Padarath. The meeting’s focus was to congratulate the government on its smooth transition, commend its openness to collaboration, and discuss potential future partnerships aimed at strengthening implementation and efficiency. Minister Padarath highlighted the Cabinet’s decision to establish an Inter-Ministerial Committee to review legislation, policy, and operational matters, harmonize projects across ministries, and improve implementation rates, reduce costs, and eliminate duplication. Both Shell and the Government reaffirmed their commitment to collaboration, expressing optimism that these initiatives will contribute to a stronger economy, deliver tangible benefits to citizens, and turn opportunities into concrete results.
