A 15‑year‑old girl is shouldering the responsibilities of an entire household after the death of her father and the worsening illness of her mother. The family, which includes eight children, has struggled to meet basic needs such as food and household bills. Rebbetzin Leah Kolodetsky has issued an appeal on behalf of the family, urging the community to help. The appeal states that the goal is $30,000, which would provide financial support for the next six months. To date, 151 donors have contributed $5,335, leaving $24,665 still needed. The appeal outlines suggested donation amounts: $72 to cover basic necessities for the children, $180 to help with food and essential household expenses, and $360 to give the family a week of financial breathing room. All donations are tax‑deductible.
