Sam Large, the mother of Hannah Jane Large, who died in a car accident on Krýsuvíkurvegur early Monday morning, has publicly thanked the President of Iceland, Halla Tómasdóttir, for her expressions of sympathy.
In a social media post, Sam Large acknowledged the President’s condolences, noting that her daughter had “fell in love with your country.”
The accident occurred at the intersection of Krýsuvíkurvegur and Bláfjallavegur. A memorial has since been established at the site to honor the young people who lost their lives in the crash.
