SEED Grant Empowers Moruga Businesswoman, Boosts Local Economic Development Efforts

Valerie George, a dedicated entrepreneur from Moruga, has received a significant boost to her small business, Val’s Place, through the government’s SEED Programme. This initiative aims to empower local entrepreneurs by providing financial assistance for business growth and development. At a recent presentation ceremony in Moruga, George became the first recipient of the day’s SEED grant.

The event was attended by the Honourable Vandana Mohit, Minister of the People, Social Development and Family Services. Representatives from the Moruga/Tableland Constituency Office, linked to the Honourable Michelle Benjamin, MP, Minister of Culture and Community Development, also showed their support for this initiative.

The SEED Programme is designed to aid small business owners in purchasing equipment, expanding operations, and addressing other business development needs. This grant reflects the government’s commitment to creating economic opportunities and fostering entrepreneurship across Trinidad and Tobago.
