Percy, a pig known to Queen’s Park Savannah, vanished last Wednesday between 4-7PM, sparking a collaborative search by animal advocates and volunteers. The Hunters Search and Rescue Team, headed by Captain Vallence Rambharat, received numerous pleas for help following reports of Percy’s presence. Plans were made for a humane removal and relocation of Percy to a Freeport sanctuary. Despite efforts, including attempts to lure her into a horse trailer and extensive searches, Percy could not be found. Unverified information suggests that Percy may have been hidden in a food hut and relocated before dawn on Thursday. A pig recently spotted along Lady Young Road has been confirmed not to be Percy.
