Scattered Showers and Strong Winds Expected Across Parts of Sri Lanka Today

The Department of Meteorology has issued a weather update for today, predicting scattered showers across several regions. According to the forecast, Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts, can expect a few showers throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the rest of the island is expected to experience mainly dry weather. The department also warned of fairly strong winds, with speeds of 30 to 40 kmph, possible at times over the Northern and North-Central provinces.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to plan accordingly, especially those involved in outdoor activities or travel. The weather pattern is typical for this time of year, and no severe conditions are anticipated beyond the scattered showers and gusty winds.
