Saharan Dust and Isolated Showers Expected Across T&T on Thursday

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has issued its official weather forecast for Thursday 23rd July 2026, valid from this afternoon through tonight. The bulletin, released at 09:24 AM, covers conditions across the region, including Tobago, the Windwards, and the Southern Leewards.

Residents and visitors can expect a fair and hazy start to the day, with skies becoming partly cloudy by mid to late afternoon. Brief showers are anticipated over varying areas, and there is a low to medium chance of an isolated heavy shower. A moderate concentration of Saharan dust continues to linger in the atmosphere, which may reduce visibility and affect air quality.

In the Northern Leewards, conditions will be fair, hazy, and breezy, with only a few brief showers expected. Temperatures are forecast to reach a maximum of 32°C at Piarco, while Crown Point in Tobago is expected to see a high of 31°C.

Marine conditions are moderate, with waves ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 meters in open waters. In sheltered areas, waves are expected to be less than 1.0 meter, occasionally becoming choppy. Mariners and beachgoers are advised to exercise caution.
