Rreth 63% e gjermanëve mbështesin ruajtjen ose rritjen e ndihmës ushtarake për Ukrainën

A recent survey conducted by the German research group Forschungsgruppe Wahlen and published on the German broadcaster ZDF’s website shows that about 63 % of German citizens support maintaining or increasing the current level of military aid to Ukraine. Roughly 32 % of respondents favour a reduction in such assistance, while the remaining 5 % were undecided or did not answer. The poll, carried out by telephone and online between 20 and 22 October 2026 with 1,225 participants, has a statistical margin of error of 2–3 %. According to the results, 30 % of respondents would like to strengthen military support for Ukraine, 33 % are satisfied with the present level of aid from European states, and 32 % call for a cutback. Other findings from the survey include: 79 % of Germans doubt that Russian President Vladimir Putin is willing to end the war, while only 16 % believe he is genuinely interested in a long‑term ceasefire. Regarding U.S. President Donald Trump’s stance on the conflict, 38 % of respondents think he is pro‑Russia, 1 % think he is pro‑Ukraine, and 57 % believe he supports neither side. * Concerning the possibility of a Russian attack on eastern NATO members such as Poland and the Baltic states, 46 % of respondents consider it a real threat, whereas 48 % do not expect such an event. Ukrinform noted that earlier reports had shown a decline in German public support for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, falling from 61 % in March 2022 to 41 % in June 2026.
