Romania Hits European Record for Measles Cases in Children, NGO Warns

Romania has recorded more measles cases in children than any other European country, according to Salvați Copiii. The organization warns that this alarming statistic underscores a dangerous gap in vaccination coverage. In response, they have launched the campaign ‘Povești de vaccinat copiii’ (Stories of Vaccinated Children) to educate parents and combat medical misinformation. The campaign focuses on providing validated medical information and emphasizing the critical role of vaccines in protecting children’s health. Health experts urge immediate action to increase immunization rates and prevent further spread of the highly contagious disease.
