The vessel was reported to be in danger approximately **5 nautical miles north of Kyrenia**, a coastal town in the northern part of the island.

According to a statement released by the JRCC, the centre promptly established contact with the vessel after the initial distress alert. Subsequent communications indicated that the situation could be managed without external assistance. Consequently, the authorities confirmed that **assistance from the Republic of Cyprus (RoC) was not required**.
