Rick Ross Bonds Out on $6,000, Denies Domestic Violence Allegations as Totally Fabricated

Rapper Rick Ross bonded out of jail on Thursday after facing felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor domestic violence charges, and he used his first moments of freedom to declare his innocence, calling the allegations “totally fabricated.”

According to WSVN 7 News, the charges stem from an alleged August 28 incident at Ross’s Star Island home. His bond was set at $6,000.

Speaking to reporters after his release, Ross said, “First and foremost, I’m totally innocent of these fabricated allegations made against me.” When asked directly if the woman was making it up, he replied, “Yes, she’s making it up.” He added, “It’s totally fabricated, my brother.” Ross also referenced his attorney, saying, “I have an amazing team,” and looked to one of his lawyers before responding.

The rapper did not offer further details about the incident. Instead, he outlined his upcoming schedule, saying he would be in Dubai on Friday, Paris on Saturday, and planned to have “a bowl of rigatoni with heavy marinara” on Sunday.

When pressed again with a question about whether he strangled the woman, Ross did not answer directly, and the exchange was cut off. He repeated, “They’re not true.”

No additional information about the case or the accuser has been released.
