REPUBLIC Bank Suspends Key Mobile App Feature

REPUBLIC Bank has immediately suspended the ‘Banking at My Fingertips’ feature on its RepublicMobile app. This feature enabled users to view their pre-selected account balances on the login screen without signing in. In a recent communication with its customers dated September 10, the bank clarified the suspension was aimed at simplifying the banking experience and providing enhanced protection to their data. The bank acknowledged that this change might cause inconvenience, but emphasized that customer data privacy was their foremost priority. Now, users will need to sign into RepublicMobile to access their account balances. The bank concluded by expressing gratitude for customers’ understanding as it strives to improve its services.
