The rector of the Instituto Tecnológico de Las Américas (ITLA), Jimmy Rosario Bernard, has proposed the creation of a regulatory body in the Dominican Republic to oversee the development and implementation of artificial intelligence.
Rosario Bernard stated that such an organization is necessary to manage the rapid growth of this technology and to address the increasing international competition surrounding its advancement. The proposal highlights the need for a formal framework to supervise how artificial intelligence is utilized within the country.
