On 25 October, Prince Epenge, a senior member of the coalition led by former presidential candidate Martin Fayulu, was detained at Kinshasa’s N’Djili International Airport. The arrest occurred while Epenge was preparing to board a flight to Rome, where the coalition—known as C64—planned to convene its leaders for the first time. The detention took place at the counter of the Directorate General of Migration (DGM). According to reports, Epenge was taken to the premises of the National Cyber Defence Council, where he remains in custody. Early indications suggest that legal proceedings are being initiated against him, though details of the charges have not yet been fully disclosed. The incident was reported by Jeune Afrique journalist Stanis Bujakera Tshiamala. The article, published at 19:58 on 25 October, notes that the first elements of the procedure against Epenge are beginning to emerge.
