RCIPS open murder inquiry, woman arrested

The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) has opened a murder inquiry following a fatal stabbing that occurred in Prospect on Friday night. Police and other emergency services were dispatched to Prospect Drive shortly after 9:30 p.m.

According to RCIPS, a 31‑year‑old woman from the East End area was arrested on suspicion of murder. Officers were informed that a man and a woman had been engaged in an argument before the fatal incident took place.

Details of the victim and the circumstances surrounding the stabbing have not yet been released. RCIPS is continuing its investigation into the case.
