Ramco Industries Limited has confirmed that a fire occurred on July 24, 2025, at their facility in San Fernando, specifically in one of the loading bays. The blaze was quickly controlled due to the swift actions of emergency services. During the incident, four employees were injured and are currently receiving medical treatment, while all other personnel were safely evacuated according to emergency protocols. Ramco expressed its deep concern for the injured employees and their families, pledging support throughout their recovery process.
In a media release, Ramco conveyed gratitude to the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, T&TEC, Ambulance Services, the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, and their internal health and safety team for their prompt response. The company also recognized the support of Energy Minister Dr. Roodal Moonilal and the concern shown by local residents.
