Psychologist Warns Sabita Basdeo May Face Long Road to Recovery

Psychologist Dr Varma Deyalsingh says the reported abuse suffered by Sabita Basdeo raises serious concerns about prolonged trauma and coercive control. He said victims in similar cases often face lasting effects including anxiety, depression, PTSD and emotional distress. He called for urgent psychiatric assessment, trauma focused therapy and strong social support to aid her recovery.
