Public Services Association (PSA) president Felisha Thomas has confirmed a 10% salary increase offer from Chief Personnel Officer Daryl Dindial. The announcement followed a meeting on November 21, where Thomas expressed initial caution, particularly due to a presentation on the current state of the economy. However, she emphasized that the union had already outlined its expectations. The PSA had written to the CPO’s office prior to the meeting, stating their focus was not on initiating negotiations but on the mandate given by the Minister of Finance to propose a 10% salary increase. Thomas confirmed the acting CEO had officially handed over the offer and the PSA intends to respond by the end of the day. The union’s aim remains to conclude these negotiations to ensure members see an increase in their wages by Christmas.
