Prisoner Escapes from Arima Health Facility, Manhunt Underway
Police have launched a manhunt after a prisoner reportedly escaped from the Arima Health Facility on Friday evening.
According to preliminary reports, the escape occurred at approximately 7:15 p.m. at the Accident and Emergency Department of the hospital.
The escapee has been identified as Robby Khadoo of #257 Naparima Mayaro Road, Iere Village, Princes Town.
Authorities said Khadoo was in police custody in connection with murder, attempted murder and wounding charges at the time of the incident.
Law enforcement officials have warned that he should be considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public are urged not to approach him if spotted, but instead to immediately contact the police by calling 999, 555, or 800-TIPS with any information that may assist investigators.
Police continue to search for the escapee, and further updates are expected as the investigation develops.
