The union has pointed out the longstanding problem of a lack of dedicated medical transport for officers at various correctional facilities across the country. The absence of on-site ambulances, the union argues, could result in fatal delays during emergencies. POATT is advocating for every correctional facility to have a dedicated ambulance to reduce response times and ensure timely medical care. This issue has reignited public discussions on workplace safety for prison officers, and the union is calling for immediate action from relevant authorities to address this problem.
