On 26 September 2023 the Confederació Empresarial Andorrana (CEA) held the sixth edition of its annual awards ceremony, celebrating the diversity of Andorra’s business community. The event marked the 20th anniversary of the CEA and highlighted the organisation’s role in defending business interests while encouraging forward‑thinking collaboration.
In his opening address, CEA president Gerard Cadena said the association “must be an organisation that defends our interests, but also an instrument that allows us to see a little further beyond our own interests.”
The awards recognised a range of achievements across the country. The “Trajectòria Empresarial” prize was awarded to Patrimoine Assegurances, with the trophy presented by Joan Tomàs Roca, a director at Patrimoine and AXA France delegate in Andorra. De Bon Gra received the FEDA Sustainability award for its environmental initiatives, while Soadco was honoured in the International Projection category, with founder Mercedes Roldán attending the ceremony. CityXerpa won the Andorra Recerca+Innovació award for entrepreneurship and innovation, and the prize was collected by CEO Bernat Altimir.
Magda Marquet was recognised for promoting the Andorran brand, Enclar Carburants Andorrans received the Senior Management award, and Ergoconcepte, co‑founded by Jeniffer Ferrer and Douglas Porras, was honoured in the Autonomous and Micro‑Enterprise category. Mercè Betriu, president and founder of Grup Galeno, received the Women in Business award presented by the Chamber of Commerce’s Women and Business space. PIME was acknowledged in the Inclusive Company category, with CEO Marc Segarra accepting the award at the ceremony held at the capital’s Congress Centre. Finally, Josep Maria Cosan and Joan Santamaria, co‑founders of Santamaria & Cosan, were honoured with the Pioneer of Andorra award; Xavier Cornella, a Creand delegate, presented the trophy to Cosan.
The ceremony concluded with remarks from Prime Minister Xavier Espot, who congratulated the CEA on its two‑decade history and praised its role as a demanding yet constructive interlocutor for the business sector. Espot noted that future challenges will require “more than ever dialogue, ambition and the ability to reach agreements between institutions and the business fabric.” He added that the CEA awards “recognise the vitality, talent and diversity of the Andorran business community” and that the country’s future is built not only by institutions but also by companies, entrepreneurs and individuals.
