The labour groups oppose Lašák’s appointment, pointing to his previous role in the management of Czech Airlines before the carrier entered bankruptcy proceedings. They argue that employees have not received sufficient guarantees about the company’s future direction. Additional concerns emerged after Prime Minister Andrej Babiš said the government was considering a possible stock market listing of part of Prague Airport’s shares. Finance Minister Alena Šillerová rejected the concerns, saying there was no reason for employees to worry. According to her, Lašák was selected as the strongest candidate through a rigorous process.
