On Monday, March 9, 2026, officers from the North Eastern Divisional Task Force conducted an anti-crime operation in the Barataria Police District. The operation was a strategic drug block operation targeting known drug blocks within the San Juan and Barataria areas. During the operation, officers discovered a transparent plastic container hidden in a drain along William Street, Aranguez. This container, which had a blue cover, held 21 brass cylindrical objects resembling 5.56mm ammunition. The operation was led by Snr. Supt. Guy-Alleyne, ASP Callender, and Insp. Ramsingh, coordinated by Sgt. Martin, and supervised by Cpl. Daniel.
