In a shocking incident early Saturday morning, a 39-year-old police constable was robbed at gunpoint while trying to fix a flat tire near the Indian Trail Flyover. The incident occurred around 5:15 a.m. when the officer, who was driving his black Toyota Fielder, was approached by two armed suspects in a white wagon. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded cash, while the other searched the vehicle. The robbers made off with a Samsung A71 cellphone, black JBL headphones, and a G-Shock watch, escaping east along Indian Trail Road. Both suspects were described as slim males of African descent, approximately 5’11″ tall. One was wearing a black hoodie with plaited hair, while the other sported a red T-shirt and short hair. In a separate incident, a TTDF Lance Corporal reported a vehicle break-in at Woodford Lodge recreational grounds. The soldier’s gold Nissan B15 was parked at the isolated location due to mechanical issues when it was targeted. Upon returning, he discovered the rear window had been smashed and several items were missing, including a camouflage jacket, camouflage pants stored in a ruby red Jansport bag, and an HP computer monitor valued at $1,000 TTD. Authorities are currently investigating both incidents, urging anyone with information to come forward.
