PLU US Diaspora Jubilate as Muhoozi Awards Kananura, Nkusa PO Numbers

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has issued Patriotic Officer numbers to two of its leaders based in the United States. General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the leader of the organization, assigned Patriotic Officer Number 264 to Ronnie Kananura and Patriotic Officer Number 289 to Francis Nkuusa.

Kananura serves as the PLU Deputy Commissioner for External Affairs, while Nkuusa acts as the Chief Mobilizer for the organization’s U.S. chapter. The announcement was marked by a gathering of supporters in Lowell, Massachusetts.

In a statement regarding the recognition, Kananura expressed gratitude to the PLU leadership and noted that the designation carries increased responsibilities for members. Nkuusa also acknowledged the leadership, including Vice Chairman Toyota Kaguta and Secretary General Fadil Twalla, for their roles in the organization’s expansion.

The PLU utilizes a numbering system for its members, which the organization describes as a method to instill discipline and maintain a historical record of its participants. The group stated that this system is intended to distinguish the movement as a structured entity.

The recognition of Kananura and Nkuusa follows the recent growth of the PLU’s presence in the United States. The organization maintains that these appointments are intended to consolidate its diaspora network and integrate international chapters into its broader political framework.
