The search for Celine Cremer, a Belgian woman who vanished in Tasmania over two years ago, has been revived following the recent discovery of her mobile phone in the wilderness. Tasmania Police are aiding a privately initiated search organized by Cremer’s family and friends. The mobile phone, found in a previously searched area, is now undergoing forensic examination. Cremer’s vehicle was discovered shortly after her disappearance in June 2023, but no further evidence was found. Four of Cremer’s friends have traveled from Belgium to assist in the five-day search, primarily focusing on the Philosopher Falls region. Police had earlier suggested that given the harsh winter conditions following her disappearance, survival would have been unlikely.
