Pharmacist Loses $8,000 in Facebook Car Purchase Scam

In a recent incident, a pharmacist has lost $8,000 in a scam that involved a supposed car purchase. The transaction was initiated through Facebook, where the victim came into contact with the scammer. The pharmacist transferred the funds into the stranger’s bank account, believing he was making a legitimate purchase for a car. However, no car was received by the victim. After the money was transferred, the scammer disappeared and made any attempts by the victim to recover the money or get in touch unsuccessful. Adding to the victim’s woes, the stranger’s Facebook account was deactivated soon after the transaction, leaving no trace behind.
