PFTC Chairman Launches Recruitment Drive for 2026

Nyree Alfonso, the Chairman of Paria Fuel Trading Company Ltd (PFTC), is spearheading a recruitment drive to hire six managers. This state-owned energy firm is also seeking a general manager and a cadre of workers to fortify the organisation in 2026. Following the resignation of its former general manager, Mushtaq Mohammed, after the April 28 General Election, the company’s corporate secretary temporarily took over the position. Alfonso spoke of the urgent need to address the company’s staffing gaps to ensure smooth functioning. PFTC, which currently employs 130 people, has begun advertising various positions. Alfonso is determined to start 2026 with a strong team. The company’s reorganisation plan includes reducing contracted workers at certain levels and increasing the number of permanent workers.
