A petrol bomb attack occurred at a residential property in the Hatfield Street area of Belfast in the early hours of Saturday. According to police, two masked men approached the property shortly before 00:50am. One of the men threw a petrol bomb at the front of the house, which ignited and caused damage to a window. The second man threw another object at the property, but it did not ignite. The men then fled towards the Balfour Avenue area.
A number of people were inside the property at the time of the incident, but fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries. The fire was extinguished by the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service. Police are currently investigating the incident and inquiries are ongoing. A police spokesperson confirmed the details of the attack, but no further information has been released at this time.
