Sudhir Ramessar, a notable advocate for the differently-abled community and the president of the Trinidad and Tobago Paralympic Committee (TTPC), was honored in heartfelt tributes following his recent passing. Known affectionately as ‘Wheels’, Ramessar was well-respected for his unwavering dedication to the paralympics community and his deep-seated love for his family. He passed away at the age of 59 at the San Fernando General Hospital. His ten-year presidency at the TTPC was marked by tireless work towards enhancing the profile and resources of the paralympics, earning him the reputation of being ‘unstoppable’. His colleagues at the TTPC, as well as figures such as Brian Lewis, former president of the Trinidad and Tobago Olympic Committee, lauded his relentless commitment and expressed their hope to continue his legacy.
