Abayomi Semako Hunye, a governorship aspirant for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has alleged that the party leadership imposed a candidate on its members ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
In a statement, Hunye claimed that the party disregarded its established internal procedures during the selection process for the party’s flag bearer. He accused the APC of failing to adhere to due process, suggesting that the candidate selection was not conducted in accordance with the party’s regulations.
The APC has not yet issued a formal response to these allegations regarding the selection process for the upcoming gubernatorial race in Osun State.
