Orlando Octave Applauds Youth Internship Programme

Media personality and entrepreneur Orlando Octave is praising a youth internship initiative that he says is helping to shape the next generation of leaders in Trinidad and Tobago.
In a recent Instagram video, Octave expressed gratitude to bmobile, the team at National Enterprises Limited (NEL) and National Productivity and Innovation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (NPICTT) for creating opportunities that expose young people to the working world and prepare them for future careers.

Speaking to a group of interns, Octave congratulated the ten young participants selected for the programme, describing them as individuals with tremendous potential. He commended the organisations involved for investing in youth development and providing meaningful experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
Octave also delivered an inspiring message to the interns, urging them to have confidence in themselves and remain focused on their goals.
“Don’t let the failure of somebody else determine your future,” he told the group, encouraging them to chart their own paths regardless of the obstacles or setbacks they may witness in others.
He stressed that success begins with self-belief, discipline and a willingness to seize every opportunity, reminding the young participants that they each have the ability to create a positive future for themselves.
The internship initiative forms part of the wider bmobile Future Leaders Internship Programme (FLIP) 2026, which aims to equip young people with practical workplace experience, mentorship and training in areas such as technology, digital media and entrepreneurship. This year’s programme expanded significantly, increasing participation from 600 to 1,200 young people across Trinidad and Tobago.

Octave’s remarks have been widely welcomed online, with many praising the continued investment in youth empowerment and the importance of creating opportunities that inspire the country’s next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs and professionals.
