Opposition Calls for Minister’s Resignation Over Airfare Proposal

Opposition Leader Pennelope Beckles has called for the resignation of the Trade Minister over the proposed introduction of higher airfares on the domestic route. She argues the move would place an unfair financial burden on citizens and negatively impact Tobago’s economy. The opposition maintains that affordable travel is essential for daily life, including access to healthcare, education and employment, and warns against any shift that could limit mobility between the islands.
