According to the OPP, these vehicles are considered motor vehicles under Ontario law and must comply with the requirements of the Highway Traffic Act, Off-Road Vehicles Act, and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. This includes obtaining the necessary licensing and registration. The OPP reminder aims to inform the public of the regulations surrounding the use of e-bikes and dirt bikes.
