The National Statistics Office (ONE) will conduct the 2026 National Household Survey (ENHOGAR‑2026) from October 13 to November 30, 2026. The survey will cover more than 25,000 households nationwide, with a sample designed to be representative by region and province. ENHOGAR‑2026 will collect updated information on housing, households, and population characteristics, as well as data on education, economics, information and communication technologies (ICT), and victimization. The survey is organized into six main modules: housing and households; characteristics of persons; education; economics; ICT; and victimization. The inclusion of ICT and victimization modules reflects current information needs. Since its first round in 2005, ENHOGAR has provided a continuous source of data on social, economic, and environmental topics. The 2026 edition aims to measure housing and household characteristics, analyze access to and use of technologies, generate educational and economic indicators, produce disaggregated statistics for inclusion policies, and complement other statistical sources. Results will support monitoring and policy formulation in areas such as employment, public safety, education, water and energy access, and housing. They will also address requirements of the National Development Strategy (END), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Multi‑Year Public Sector Plan (PNPSP), and the National Statistical Plan (PEN). ONE urges selected households to cooperate with interviewers, who will be identified with photo ID, name, position, and official ONE and ENHOGAR logos. All data collected will remain confidential in accordance with Article 12 of Law No. 5096 of May 1956.
