Šok i blamaža na Gibraltaru, ponovila se Gzira!

The Gibraltar national football team is currently ranked 201st in the latest FIFA world rankings, the lowest position in the list. Only ten national teams are ranked below Gibraltar. Gibraltar’s squad is largely composed of players from the domestic club Lincoln Red Imps, the country’s most successful team. In the UEFA Europa Conference League, Gibraltar’s representative side defeated Croatian club Hajduk Split. The match was played on a synthetic pitch and ended 2–0 in favor of Gibraltar. The first goal was scored by Šotiček in the 75th minute, followed by a second goal from Livaj in the 85th minute, which was saved by the goalkeeper. In stoppage time, a deflected shot from a Gibraltar defender hit the crossbar and rebounded into the net, securing the win. Hajduk’s performance was limited; the Croatian side recorded only one shot on target during the match. The team’s manager, Ivan Garcia, noted that the defeat was a significant setback for the club. Hajduk will have three league matches remaining: a home game against Belgian side St. Truiden on 26 November, a home fixture against Danish club Nordsjælland on 10 December, and an away match against Danish club Midtjylland on 17 December.
