The police officers implicated in the fatal shooting of Joshua Samaroo have been reassigned from their usual duties. This move comes as inquiries into the incident continue. Senior officers confirmed that these individuals are no longer involved in field operations or public interactions. Samaroo’s family has recently demanded an independent investigation into his death. They accused the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) of demonstrating systemic bias, lack of transparency, and violations of constitutional and international standards.
