New research from Bitz.io has ranked every UK county and nation by the number of high‑value Premium Bonds winners—prizes of £1,000 or more—per 100,000 residents over the last 12 monthly draws.
According to the study, Northern Ireland recorded 110 high‑value winners for every 100,000 residents, placing it 47th out of 47 UK counties and nations. The region produced 2,124 winning bonds in total, with prizes worth £6,080,000, averaging about £2,863 per winning bond.
No county or nation had a lower per‑head figure. The West Midlands ranked just above Northern Ireland with 183 winners per 100,000 residents.
Dorset topped the list with 590 winners per 100,000 residents, while Greater London had the highest raw number of winners—23,263—but ranked 36th per head.
These figures reflect the distribution of Premium Bonds prizes across the UK over the past year.
