Nipigon OPP Releases Civic Holiday Long Weekend Enforcement Statistics
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nipigon and Schreiber Detachments conducted enforcement initiatives on local roads and waterways during the Civic Holiday long weekend. The efforts aimed to promote safety and reduce the risk of collisions and injuries amidst increased traffic volumes.
According to the OPP, a total of 162 charges were laid over the weekend, all of which were related to traffic offenses. The enforcement initiatives were part of the OPP’s efforts to ensure public safety during the holiday period.
