Aleksandar Nikoloski, Vice‑Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, announced that a new third mobile operator in North Macedonia will use the Starlink satellite network. According to the announcement, the operator will begin service in the capital city of Skopje by March, making North Macedonia one of the first countries in the world—alongside Montenegro—to deploy Starlink for mobile communications. Nikoloski stated that the use of Starlink will allow the new operator to offer services at significantly lower prices than the two existing providers. “From what I have information, the prices will be much lower than those of the two existing operators,” he said in a post on his Facebook page. Under the concession agreement, the new operator is required to cover at least one city by March and to expand coverage to the entire country by the end of the year. Skopje was chosen as the launch city, marking the beginning of the operator’s nationwide rollout.
