The Nigerian embassy in Qatar has significantly reduced the processing time for passport renewals and new issuances. Applicants are now receiving their travel documents approximately two weeks after submission.
This improvement follows a dedicated passport intervention exercise held in Doha from August 11 to August 21, 2026. The 10-day initiative was designed to address processing backlogs and streamline the delivery of travel documents to Nigerian citizens residing in the country.
