A newly passed education bill is being welcomed by educators as a major step forward for the country’s school system.
The legislation makes it mandatory for children as young as four years old to be enrolled in school and introduces stronger protections for students. It also establishes clearer guidelines for curriculum enforcement by the Ministry of Education.
Education representatives say the bill is long overdue and will help ensure consistency in teaching standards across the country.
The law also expands access to tertiary education, allowing greater flexibility in providing assistance to students who may not qualify for traditional scholarships.
